Hwange National Park is one of those rare places where the entire African wilderness seems to gather in one landscape. At a single waterhole you might watch elephants rumble in by the dozens, buffalo herds kicking up clouds of dust and zebras lining up in neat black-and-white stripes. Giraffes approach cautiously on their stilt-like legs, while kudu and impala slip in quietly from the bush. Lions often linger in the shade nearby, eyeing the traffic. Hwange is not just a safari destination, but a living, breathing encyclopedia of African wildlife.
